Turkey Meat Balls


What you’ll need:

  • 1 lb 93/7 lean ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Panko Bread crumbs
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 t. dried basil
  • 3/4 t. dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups marinara sauce


What to do:

Step 1: In a large bowl combine the ground turkey, ricotta, parmesan, egg, panko, garlic, basil, oregano, salt and pepper with your hands.

Step 2: Roll meat mixture into balls about 1 ½ inches in diameter. Should make about 10-12 meatballs.

Step 3: Coat a large skillet with cooking spray and heat over over medium high heat.

Step 4: Place the meatballs in the skillet and brown them for 2 minutes on each side.

Step 5: Pour the marinara sauce evenly into the skillet and reduce heat to medium low.

Step 6: Cover and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.


Makes 16 meatballs. Macros for 1 meatball: 9p/5c/5f = 100 calories
