Sweet Potato Chips
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 285 degrees
Step 2: Wash your sweet potatoes (if you are keeping the skins on, if not you don’t need to wash)
Step 3: Cut the ends of the sweet potatoes off
Step 4: Using a vegetable peeler, gently peel off the skin
Step 5: Using a sharp knife, or a mandolin slicer if you have one; cut into slices about ¼ inch thick
** Note: it is important to cut slices that are roughly all the same size to ensure they cook evenly. The thicker the slice, the longer the bake time
Step 6: Line a baking try with foil and spray lightly with coconut oil spray
Step 7: Lay your potatoes flat on the baking sheet careful not to overlap
Step 8: Sprinkle with cinnamon (or other seasonings of choice!)
Step 9: Bake for 1 hour.
Step 10: After 1 hour, remove the sweet potatoes chips and check for any doneness. Flip over and sprinkle with cinnamon and cook for another 20 minutes. Continue in 20 minute intervals until they are to your desired level of crisp!
